Our Year 6 learners had a wonderful and memorable visit to the Dhow Countries Music Academy (DCMA)!

The visit was a fantastic opportunity for our learners to step outside the classroom and discover more about Zanzibar’s rich musical heritage. They had lots of fun exploring the academy, learning about different instruments, and discovering the fascinating history of Taarab music.

Through stories, music, and hands-on learning, our learners gained a deeper appreciation of how Taarab has become an important part of Zanzibar’s culture and history.

It was a day filled with learning, laughter, music, and new experiences, a wonderful reminder that some of the best learning happens beyond the classroom!
